When your debut single explodes in your face, racking up almost 300,000 plays on soundcloud and youtube separately in just over six months, you know you must be onto something pretty special. Such is the case for HAERTS, a New York based five-piece whose anthemic, dark dream-pop single ‘Wings’ proved a spectacular hit on music blogs across the globe towards the end of last year.
After releasing ‘Wings’, HAERTS virtually disappeared off the face of the planet, however, after months and months of waiting, the band have finally released ‘All The Days’, their hotly anticipated second single. Incredibly intense, ‘All The Days’ is a towering, synth-led epic that’s commanding drums and striking melodies have been running round my head for days. Demanding the listener’s attention, vocalist Nini Fabi’s impeccably pure vocals are the centrepiece of the song, soaring triumphantly over the glistening synth mesh that trembles beneath her. After having successful debut singles, lots of new bands are simply buried beneath their own hype and are forgotten forever; however with the release of ‘All The Days’, HAERTS have proved they are much bigger than that, cementing their reputation as one of the most exciting new bands on the planet.
HAERTS are currently supporting Atlas Genius on tour in the US and are yet to announce any UK dates, however, with ‘All The Days’ blowing-up in a similar manner to ‘Wings’, I can’t imagine it will be long before we see them cross the Atlantic to perform some UK shows. Fingers crossed until then!
