Poppy, up-beat artist Ilona has released (13th May) her first ever single about the infatuation, obsession and pain that love can cause. “Love is Stupid” is a hopeless romantic’s call to the desire of a more simplistic construction of love. Her voice is reminiscent of cabaret and folk singers with a very full sound that rings of the countryside.
Ilona made her debut 2 years ago and has been stockpiling her experience ever since. She’s toured the UK, playing at Hop Farm twice, and has even entertained the likes of the BBC, during their Crimbo party, and Team USA, during the Olympics. This summer, Ilona will be playing gigs like Liverpool Soundcity, Inverness GO North, and Beach Break.
Ilona has many dates on her UK tour this year, including an up-and-coming one in London. Tour dates are as follows:
3 June BBC London Live Session on Simon Lederman Show
