If you haven’t heard about Ray J’s recent track dissing Kim Kardashian ‘I Hit it First’, where have you been!? Although the track doesn’t state Kim Kardashian’s name, the pixelated image on the singles’ cover looks suspiciously similar to Kim K’s 2008 bikini beach shot. Hmm….
In his recent interview (10th April) with power 106 FM’s Big Boy, Ray J still denies that the track is related to Kim Kardashian. Come on Ray J, well all know it is! He says ‘this is crazy, I didn’t know it would impact like this, its crazy’.
Big Boy straight up asks Ray J, ‘is it a coincidence that the pixelated image looks like Kim Kardashian’, Ray J simply reply’s ‘It’s crazy!’. Not letting it slip, Big Boy then asks, ‘if we were to unpixilate the image, would it be that picture’, Ray J then says ‘do it and see what happens..
‘It’s just great conversation, its all love, I’m just having fun and staying on the subject, I don’t miss nobody, I’m just having fun’
Ray J was definitely not letting anything go in this interview! Big Boy then asks ‘if Kanye were to grab this record, and think that you were talking about Kim Kardashian, do you think that Kanye would come back on you?’
Trying to change the subject, Ray J says ‘its available on iTunes by the way [haha]…I stay on the subject of the song, because I don’t even want to get into that would, they living in their world, we living in our world’
Avoiding the real topic of the interview, Big Boy asks Ray J ‘what are you so worried about!’
Ray J replies, ‘Nah I’m good, [haha] you ain’t gonna get it coz its all good’.
The track has definitely done its job, its made a big impact and has everyone talking Ray J’s name. With over 6 million views on YouTube already, its getting a mixed reaction from viewers. Some say ‘who is Ray J anyways?’ and ‘you are not hitting it now are you Ray J’. Either way this track has given a big marketing push for Ray J’s forthcoming album!
