'Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead' expected to reach no. 1 following Maggie's death
Tuesday 9th April 2013 | Varala
As we say Bye Bye Maggie, we can’t help but find this news funny. Former British PM Margaret Thatcher’s death yesterday sent ‘Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead’ back into the UK charts today.
Only 24 hours after the infamous ‘Iron Lady’ died, the ‘Wizard of Oz’ classic rose to number nine in the iTunes best-sellers chart. And with Facebook campaigns encouraging sales, it’s only a matter of time before the 1939 song hits number one in the UK charts.
But if you really feel like celebrating, get your hands on a fully stocked ‘Ding Dong Thatcher’s Gone’ t-shirt or party pack, including themed balloons, noise makers, indoor firework poppers and invitations.
