Fetch boy! Fetch!

Some might consider it impressive enough as it is to play fetch with your dog. Well, just imagine a robot dog doing the same with a 30 pound rock, sounds less impressive now doesn’t it? Bigdog, the advanced robot dog created by DARP is now able to do just that. The creators of the high tech mammal figured that you can’t really have a robot dog without teaching it some tricks first. Currently the dog is not only able to walk, run and climb, but now due to its latest design, you can play fetch with him as well. In short, Bigdog can basically do anything your average dog can do, without actually being one. Of course this advanced technology will not be used just for the purpose of playing fetch and other games. Once Bigdog is finalized and fully capable of doing everything it needs to, it will offer its services mostly to the army or perhaps other places where it can be put into good use. Well, until that happens, let’s just admire this robot rover’s abilities for now.
