Danny Brown Talks New Album

Everyones favourite Detroit native has talked to Pitchfork on his new album 'Old' and a change in direction for his music.
He is quoted as saying "if people are just looking for dick-sucking jokes, there isn’t too many of them this time" which will come as a shock if you only know him from tracks like "Detroit 187" and "I Will", but he's such a versatile MC that I'm sure it'll be sick regardless of subject matter.
Danny's part in the album is done and he is waiting on a few features to be finished before it can be sent away for mastering. You can expect features from A$AP Rocky, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Kitty Pryde and Purity Ring, and production from Darq E Freaker (producer of Blueberry), SKYWLKR, Oh No, Paul White and Rustie (who closes the album). Unfortunately TNGHT (Lunice and Hudson Mohawke's collaborative project) will not be featuring on the album, even though a video released earlier this year showed the pair working in the studio with Danny. Danny had this to say "They never sent me no beats! I was in the studio listening to beats [with them], they said they were going to send me some beats, but they didn't. I don't know what's going on."
Catch a video of Danny performing the Darq E Freaker produced track 'Blueberry (Pills & Cocaine)' live in the Boiler Room.
