Courtney Love says the musical about her late husband Kurt Cobain will never happen.
The news came to us after last month when her manager Sam Lufti revealed that him and Courtney Love are working on her new project about the life of her late husband. He said to the media that "We are currently working on a possible motion picture or Broadway based on the Nirvana catalogue, based on her and Kurt Cobain's life.
The bizzare idea however is not likely to be realised as Love has denied the rumours saying that "there will be no musical" as "sometimes it's best just to leave things alone". Just the thought of making a musical about the life of a great artist as Kurt Cobain who comited a suicide, sounds like a bad joke that can hurt the dignity of deceased musician and his work.Seems like his widow from time to time loses the feeling for reality. Is it because of all of her drug consumation, greed or sick need to be in the media, one can only suppose.
Love is oftenly in the center of Nirvana's fan anger who generally think she is destroying adored Cobain's legacy.Last time it happened because she gave up some rights to Cobain's likeness and Nirvana's publishing. This has been highlighted with the news that CBS are working on a new family sitcom titled Smells Like Teen Spirit. Also she sold usage of Nirvana's material in films , such as 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' track that was feautured in the recent Muppets movie. Once again , faced with fan's anger, she tried to justify her acts by saying that "I got bullied into selling what I sold ,I regret it so much. I'm never selling the rest of it." Take a look at the concequences of her latest, what seems to be, only money motivated decision in the link below.
