Eminem to be executive producer on Skylar Grey's album

It has been announced that Skylar Grey’s debut album will have one of the biggest names in hip hop producing it.

Eminem, the front runner of Shady Records, has already announced the release of his upcoming solo album next year and now it has been revealed that he will be the executive producer on Skylar Grey’s studio debut album, also due out next year.

The album, Don’t Look Down, has been reworked both by Skylar and Eminem, so Skylar felt it was appropriate to also change the album name.  It will include Grey’s upcoming single ‘C’mon Let Me Ride’ which features a hook provided by Eminem. Grey explains that, “Putting out a debut album is a bit scary – I want it to be just right so I took some extra time to finish it. Eminem’s increased involvement has been such a blessing; I’m getting guidance from an artist I really admire and trust.”

Eminem paid equal credit to Skylar, saying that when he first met Grey he was “blown away with her talent as both a songwriter and vocalist. This album is going to give her a chance to connect with the fans who probably know her music, but might not know her yet.”

Don’t Look Down is due out next year in spring, though this has yet to be confirmed.
