The Game's controversial album artwork for Jesus Piece

The Game is known for being a controversial rapper but maybe he’s taken it one step too far this time. On Sunday he released the cover art for his upcoming album, Jesus Piece and he has been getting backlash ever since. The artwork is a picture of a ‘gangster’ Jesus complete with a red bandana and a big gold chain.

This will be Games fifth studio album, he’s last album 2011's, The R.E.D. only reached the US Billboard 200 and made it to number 14 in the UK. So I guess that wasn’t good enough for him, this artwork has defiantly created a buzz around the Game and if you didn’t know he had an album coming out you probably know now. The album is due to be released on December 11 and Game has revealed that there will be a host of features on the album from Nicki Minaj, DJ Premier, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Scarface, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa and Tyga.

The art has even got some responses from the likes of Busta Rhymes who tweeted, ‘This artwork is Brilliant!!!’ Other famous faces who have endorsed the ‘Jesus Piece’ cover include Kevin Hart, B.O.B, and Mac Miller. Fan’s haven’t held back on what they think on Twitter either and surprisingly the response has been

mixed:‘@thegame Your album cover is nice the best part bout it is Jesus is black. I love it....’

‘I think @thegame needs a Piece of Jesus. Jesus aint gang affiliated. #JesusPiece - how u know... U went to school wit em ???’

@thegame that album cover aint shit. U moking the Lord! U gon burn’

‘I'm catholic and I think @thegame new album cover is pretty fuckin dope. Why are people so pissy?’
