Adele's new album should take a while, a big while

Indie | Thursday 18th October 2012 | Raquel

After selling 24 million copies with her last album, Adele says that a new album shouldn't be expected for years.

According to her label XL Records, Adele is unlikely to return so soon to the studio to record another album. The imprint that registered £41,7 million in profit with the huge success of 21, states that 2011 was an impressive year and one in a million. It will be hard for them to achieve such enormous numbers every year.

"The next Adele album may not come for some years, and it's impossible to predict its likely sales. We therefore regard this year's figures as exceptional." sayd a spokeperson for XL to The New York Times.

The singer, who is currently pregnant, recorded a track for 007 newest movie Skyfall.
