Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Miguel has released his long awaited second album, Kaleidoscope Dream. After giving us a taste of the album with the release of two EP's the Water and Air Previews, Miguel has now delivered the whole meal for his fans to finally consume.
Kaleidoscope Dream represents the fantasies Miguel believes are channeled through dreams. “I believe dreams represent the purest form of fantasy we unleash through our subconscious,” he explains. “They represent the truest freedom we can experience. Totally unrepressed and totally creative.”
Miguel, who has repeatedly been compared to Prince, is in his own lane as far as the RnB scene is concerned, this past February, March and April, Miguel released an entirely self-produced three-part mini EP series called Art Dealer Chic, with Volume 1, 2, and 3 offered once a month respectively. The dark, deeply emotional and powerful tracks captivated fans and critics alike as Miguel set forth on a fresh musical experiment.
Adorn, which is the first single off Kaleidoscope Dream, scored Miguel the No1 spot on the Billboard RnB & HipHop singles chart but he is no stranger to having top 10 hits, his 2010 debut album All I Want Is You, spawned the chart-topping hit singles “Quickie,” “Sure Thing” and the album title track, earned him unanimous praise. Kaleidoscope Dream takes him down a new path of musical exploration with ground breaking, cutting edge precision. Miguel's Provoking lyrics, soothing melodies and Fiery tone all add up to an album you defiantly need in your life.
