Are Green Day on their way to sanity again?

Green Day have confirmed they will be playing their 1994 album Dookie in its entirety at Reading Festival this weekend.
Hang on, let's reflect on that for a second. They'll play songs like 'Longview', 'Basket Case' and 'She'? Rather than 'American Idiot', '21 Guns' and 'Kill The DJ'? That's so relieving! One would have rather expected them to perform American Idiot: The Musical than their much less melodramatic music from back in the days.
Noone really wants to hear their recent musical output, right? At least noone sane and not colourblind. Pulling out Dookie for such a massive festival now seems like a clever thing to do to make their fans (who will probably be fans of the 'old' Green Day) happy and to remind everyone they were once able to actually make non-artificial, authentic music.
The band also revealed that there will be a UK tour next year, kicking off with a show at Emirates Stadium in North London on June 1st. Well, not sure about that. Will they play anything from after 1997? If yes, not interested, thanks. But if they do, I'm gonna have a brilliant time!
