K Koke collaborates with Wale on "Roc For Life"

RnB/Hip Hop | Tuesday 31st July 2012 | Osh

K Koke's meteoric rise is a modern success story worthy of a Hollywood blockbuster. Coming to underground prominence with hood videos and mix tapes telling stories of life in Stonebridge estate with rare eloquence and strained morality, Koke rose to feature on Charlie Sloth's Fire In The Booth, gaining millions of views, as well as playing many other radio shows and getting a curiously big Canadian following. This peaked last year as K Koke gained the attention of none other than hip-hop's primary businessman Jay-Z, and lead to Koke signing to Roc Nation.

Soon after, he was falsely locked up for a murder and conspiracy theorists took to YouTube comments in his months away, after which he returned with "I'm Back".   K Koke has recently collaborated with none other than Wale, both confirming their loyalty to Jay-Z's label with a track entitled "Roc for Life", featuring a rags-to-riches tale from K Koke and braggadocio from Wale, over an electric guitar beat. Certainly those listening to him from his early career were never expecting K Koke to become one of Britain's biggest rapping exports, and hopefully he can lead to further international success for the famously introverted Uk rap scene.
