Alicia Keys Reveals ‘New Day’ Track from Upcoming Album

Finally, our beloved Alicia Keys is back and confirms she is feeling like a ‘new person’. Recently, Alicia posted a moving video on YouTube in which she openly and honestly talks about her new record, inspired by her major life changes - her marriage to Swizz Beatz and of course the journey into motherhood. From the video, we can tell she is very enthusiastic about her new LP: “When it comes to sharing this music with you, I am like a caged animal that's dying to escape," says Keys.
Although we are unaware of the exact date of the release of her Alicia keys album, keen fans need not worry as ‘New Day’, the first piece from her still-untitled follow up to The Element of Freedom. The track has the sound of distant pianos and tin sounding drums, which goes with her new outlook of life: "There's no limitation, no / Fill up your life/ Let me see your hands up”, as the track goes.
The song was produced by hubby Swizz Beatz who we know to be a maestro in his field. The hit producer for songs like Can Transform Ya, On to the Next One and much more definitely came hard on this track, with his talented wife to give it that get up and put your hands in the air vibe!
Also, unveiled was a lyrics video for the track, which was produced by her husband. It features an edgy beat and the colorful clip illustrates graffiti-style drawings of the lyrics in sketch books walls. However, we are yet to see the actual video in which she has asked her followers on Instagram to submit a photo that inspired them.
