Jack's Anger Against Cheesy Music Videos

Has anyone noticed the poor excuses for music videos nowadays?
Over the course of almost 30 years, the music video industry has proved itself to be both a blessing and a curse in many ways; whilst on the one hand there have been many examples of shining cinematic quality showcased to us, we have also experienced our fair share of horror shows and full out insults to humankind, but now let’s think about what the video charts have been infested with over the last couple of years.
At many times, to me anyway, it appears that the same video is simply on repeat; starting, usually, with some male or female act dressed in some unbearable outfit (or in a lot of cases dressed in next to nothing at all), surrounded by a troupe of equally disgracefully dressed dancers, performing a standard erotic dance routine set in some pretentious location and ending in a montage of clips and effects designed to create the impression of some form of gripping finish to their song. For the ones that manage to not fall into this bracket, one would not be surprised to see either something which is supposed to be considered arty and different, but ends up being comparable to some crap you’ve already seen before in hay-day of 90’s pop music, or simply a next to soft-core porn show that is normally appreciated most by large male groups.
Whichever way you look at it, there has been a lack of creativity in music videos today. When was the last time you saw a video that was on a par with Eminem’s ‘Stan’? When was the last time you saw a video as raw controversial and insane as something like ‘Smack My Bitch Up’? I feel that most of the time we’re not watching a genuinely good piece of cinema and more just thinking ‘fuck me doesn’t she looks hot’.
But then again I could just be talking nonsense. I mean I’m sure you can find a Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Usher, Chris Brown or Nikki Minage music video that doesn’t feature any of the mentioned features listed before, I’m positive you can...

Editor's Note: We have a policy of free expression at TGN, and although Jack's rant is completely irrelevant to the point he seems to be triyng to make, we are publishing him because he writes from the heart. He is still young and in time he will learn the other essentials of journalism. Oh the other hand, we think Jack should look deeper before writing general slander about how naked women in music videos make him angry.
Here's a video of naked women that we believe is absolutely fantastic and made in very good taste. #NSFW
