Lily Allen hit with Twitter abuse after reporting soldier

The latest in the list of Lily Allen controversies sees her being attacked by Twitter users for reporting soldier, Harry Wilson, for sending her a tweet saying: ''just seen you bought s*** I mean adopted a child from Africa (sic)”. Allen took this as racist harassment and reported the 20 year old soldier to the Ministry of Defence. When rumours surfaced that Wilson might face discharge from the army, she became the target of internet trolls.
The singer retweeted some of the abuse she was receiving, such as ‘Good morning @lilyrosecooper you piece of low life scum!’ from @jonny_mcgill, and ''you are a disgrace, you kept you job when you were full of drugs & cocaine with kate moss ya stuck up wee cow!! KARMA!! (sic)'' from @suzanne_x. This led Allen to suggest she might leave Twitter ‘for a few days, hmmmm maybe hours, we'll see. The stupidity of some people on here is astounding’,
It all died down in the end however when, earlier this afternoon, Allen announced that she has received flowers and a hand written apology from Harry Wilson and that she ‘hopes we can all now move on. Thank you.’
