A Genre is Born

If you’ve been listening closely to your radios and take a keen interest in the electronic music scene you might have noticed that a new breed is being born. Whilst it not be to everyone’s taste there’s no denying that the music being produced by Disclosure and SBTRKT is a whole new take on clubbing music. What could almost, maybe be described best as two-step with everything from dubstep, garage and funky beats to create a new sound that is sweeping through clubs, bars, bedrooms all over the country. Disclosure, Croydon based brothers, aged a mere 17 and 20, started out supporting SBTRKT on a UK tour that has ended up with them becoming almost as well known as SBTRKT. Both are now in high demand in the clubbing and festival scene and are laying down plenty of tracks that could easily be a soundtrack to summer 2012. Featuring on several of SBTRKT’s tracks is hot new vocalist Jessie Ware, the London born singer combines stunning vocals with upbeat, catchy tracks creating a unique sound. It could even be said that household name Julio Bashmore is sampling such beats in his track ‘Battle for Middle You’, moving away slightly from his normal House tracks. If you’re into house and electronic music and haven’t checked out any of these names before, do it now and thank me later.
