Brotown Records Releases
Friday 15th June 2012 | Osh
The hilariously named Brotown Records have been keeping busy unleashing loads of releases recently. Their name may be funny, however seeing how heavy the tunes they let out are, they’re definitely getting the last laugh.
Released June 1, artist Schroff put out two tracks titled ‘Legion’ and ‘Baphomet Bass’ and my god are they heavy. First Track ‘Baphomet Bass’ sounds a bit like a futurist battlefield. Synths that sound more like lazers then something a keyboard or program could produce. With awesome vocal samples and tight production, this might just be an instant bro step classic…bro. Second track ‘Legion’ comes at you just as hard. It has a double drop, in fact the song almost sounds like an original and vip mix all in one go. This track has much more going on in the low end then first track ‘Baphomet Bass’ and is likely to create absolute mayhem with all that bass so play with caution.
The next release from artist Hulk is a single titled ‘Balla’ out June 15. It’s a wonderfully weird track that’s both heavy as hell but features a really cheesey mid section with a vocal sample stating what else but “I’m a balla, imma, imma balla!” It’s a frat boy’s wet dream. Nonetheless it’s a certified tune and a floor shaker. Both releases are definitely worth a listen for anyone heavily into the new wave of dubstep, we sure are.
Keep your eyes peeled for this up and coming label hailing from the good old ‘U-S-of-A’.
