Have you ever dreamed about being a big rich rockstar? Well, The Black Keys frontman, Dan Auerbach, has said that the band never wanted to be that.
The guitarist and singer spoke in an interview and said that the band had low expectations with the simple ambition of not going bankrupt. “We don’t have expectations or dreams, because those will always just bite you in the ass. We’re very content with where we are and the speed we’ve been going”, said Auerbach. “The only way we got through was by keeping our expectations very low. We didn’t want to be rock stars.”
Well good luck for them. With the massive single Lonely Boy, they skyrocketed themselves into every hitlist in the world.
