Gallery features ‘Aladdin’s cave’ of Libertine man’s belongings
An exhibition of artwork and personal belongings went on show in Camden on the 24th February. This includes a painting featuring artwork by the late Amy Winehouse, who was his friend.
Rachel Chudley, the gallery curator, said that Pete allowed her team access to his private lock up saying they could use ‘anything’ for the exhibition.
His collection, which she describes as an ‘Aladdin’s cave, includes records, Beatles posters, Tony Hancock rarities, guitars, tunics. Also amongst the collection were several AAA passes to NME awards ceremonies of past years.
The exhibition, which takes place at 205 Royal College St, Camden, is open to the public from February 26- March 12. Opening times are 12-8pm.
