A year on from their excellent EP Hemiplegia, Indie Brooklyn quartet Haerts are releasing their debut album, Haerts, on 27th October. The album will consist of ten tracks including four from last year’s EP.
Formed only two years ago, they have built themselves quite a following with the tracks from their EP racking up plays in the high hundreds of thousands on SoundCloud. There is a very strong 80s feel to their music - from the atmospheric synth sound of ‘Hemiplegia’, reminiscent of ‘Crockett’s Theme’, to the introspective ‘Call My Name’, in the same vein as The Cars’ ‘Drive’ and Foreigner’s ‘I Want To Know What Love Is’.
From the 80s vibes to themes of hope conflicting with despair – what we’ve heard so far is complex, intelligent, impressive and we cannot wait to check out their debut album!
