Event Preview: Hot Cakes Halloween 'Ghost Ship' Boat Party

It's always set to be a bassy night when Hot Cakes Records head honcho Deekline is involved, but when you throw in breaks legend A Skillz and Lady Waks then its set to seriously go off.
Thats the situation at this party, which will take place on board The Golden Jubilee. Picture it; cruising down the Thames in the dead of a November night, soundtracked by some of the best breaks music you'll ever hear. It's a dream come true for many of us at Guestlist – We love ourselves some lovely dirty breaks. And you will struggle to find a label, event, or even a single artist who can deliver anything like the quality of the music on offer at this night.
We're sure you know Deekline, especially the smokers among you, for his 90's garage classic 'I Don't Smoke', featuring a hilarious sample from comedian Marcus Brigstocke. Or maybe you're more of a junglist? In which case, you probably know Deekline for his frequent collaborations with the mighty Ed Solo. Or maybe, like us, you know him from his numerous, brilliant, breaks tunes and storming DJ sets the world over. Regardless, he's incredible and will surely absolutely smash it at this event. But Deekline isn't the only reason you should be hyped for this night...
Lady Waks has accomplished a lot. She's had a hip hop radio show in Russia of all places, made some serious waves as a breaks producer, and set dance floors everywhere alight with some killer DJ sets. She'll definitely be a highlight at this killer event.
What is there to say about A Skillz that hasn't already been said. One of the finest producers ever to appear from merry old England, he has been responsible for consistently creating tunes of the highest order. If you've been to ANY breaks night this century, chances are you've heard a track that he had something to do with. As well as a legendary producer, A Skillz is a DJ unlike any other. He frequently rocks huge venues and festivals all over the world, and was voted Best DJ at The Breakspoll awards in 2012.
If you really need another reason to go to this event, then there's no helping you. We DID mention its on a boat, right?
