I want tickets to Walk the Moon

In 2012 they caught me toe-tapping to their hit "Anna Sun" and now they have me two-stepping to "Tightrope" in an ungodly manner. Walk the Moon are the new band to get hooked on - based in Cincinnati, Ohio and currently touring the states. Another reason to be American - to ensure we don't miss out on catching some hook-friendly indie rock, live and loud.
The truth is, you can release energy onto a track any day of the year, but what counts is if it reaches an audience out there or just floats into the abyss. From US gig reviews it seems Walk the Moon are doing an excellent job of crowd-pleasing and driving the audience wild. Their new wave of music with a real hearty beat would be lapped up over here in the UK - with danceable melodies that will encourage the meanest of shapes to be thrown.
"We got no money, but we got heart
We're gonna rattle this ghost town" (Anna Sun)
Catchy lyrics and a kooky name, what's not to love? Let's hope their success continues so they can catch that plane over to us, then we can enjoy their tickling keys and electro-art indie pop in the flesh. For now, I'll leave them on repeat.
