Kids In Glass Houses aim to get you dancing on the ceiling with their latest release

Indie | Friday 27th September 2013 | Gemma

Nowadays, streaming albums before their release date isn’t too unusual, so it’s no surprise to hear that that’s exactly what Kids In Glass Houses have decided to do with their latest offering. Their new album, Peace, was available to stream in full on YouTube since Tuesday, six days before its release date, so what better opportunity is there than to have a listen and decide for ourselves whether it’s worth the trek outside (or if you're feeling lazy, the click of a button) to buy it?

The opening track, ‘Peace’, starts off with a kick, and is a preview of what the rest of the album is going to be like. Following ‘Peace’ is the first single from the album, ‘Drive’, which is equally as catchy and sure to be a crowd pleaser. The next three songs are an example of what Kids do best, their blend of pop and rock helping them to create the kind of songs that can put a smile on the face of even the most miserable person. As the album goes on, you get more mellow tracks like ‘Stormchasers’ and ‘Nightcrawler’, which really make the album special because as great as Kids In Glass Houses are at writing their upbeat songs, they can sure write a good ballad!

Once you’ve had a listen through of the album it has probably already hit you that this album was made to play live, and that’s exactly what Kids In Glass Houses really excel at. They have a great energy and you can hear that through the songs. By all means buy the album, learn all the words, but if you really want to see this band at their best you have to catch them live.

You can have a listen for yourself on the stream down below:
