Google Is Tory Government’s New “Sweetheart”

Other | Thursday 28th January 2016 | Michael

After avoiding tax to the UK for a decade, the Tory government have agreed a new deal that means Google will pay just £130 Million.

Google’s earned revenue for 2014 alone was £46 billion, making what they’ve paid for a whole decade about 1/350th of their sales for 1 year.

The agreement is being called a “sweetheart deal” and makes a mockery of countries’ ability to confront corporations.

Not only is the Tory deal peanuts to Google, but they paid 3 times the tax in France, a country where they have much less of their business located.

Google are to be grilled by MPs over the deal on 11th February.
