Swindling Magic Out of Thin Air

By now there are few who haven’t heard of Amsterdam duo Detroit Swindle.
Stretchy chords, tapping hi-hats, atmospheric vocals: these producers are loaded with a heavy stock of soul-infused talent, and have recently swindled the house scene into a frenzy. Two EP releases in the last four months have seen the pair attract attention that matches their enthusiasm. Hits like ‘The Make Up’ and ‘Sometimes’ reflect their efforts to produce tunes that are gift-wrapped for the dance floor, whilst still keeping the melodic Dutch touch at the centre of their music.
Away from producing, they have also been enjoying life as DJs; having recently programmed the Red Bull stage at Lockdown Festival, as well as playing a varied tour of Europe in the coming months. With all this in the offing, the future certainly looks bright for the Swindlers.
