London bred producers Maribou State have been catching the ears of many followers recently, and they’re only going to get better.
These boys have gone from strength to strength in the last two years. Informerly known as Chris and Liam, the balance of eclectic soulful, rhythmic house and subtle bassy tech sounds make Maribou State the epitome of floaty dance music. Following the success of their Scarlett Groove EP, released in November 2012, the London duo have shown off their production skills with beautiful remixes of Lana del Rey, George Maple and Submotion Orchestra (to name a few) as well as an incredible re-work of Fatboy Slim’s ‘Praise You’.
They don’t stop at production though. Having made a real name for themselves in 2013 after playing sets at Glastonbury, XOYO and Ibiza over the summer months, they are due to play their first Warehouse Project this November. From where they’ve come in the past two years, who knows how big they’ll be in the next two.
