Broken and Uneven is a new promoting outlet, bought to you by the same minds behind ‘The End’ and ‘We Fear Silence’. Their newest project ‘The Hydra’ has returned with a view to perpetuate their “Parties for a nightclub that doesn’t exist” manifesto.
Last year The Hydra bought names like Deviation, Innervisions and Workshop to the stage. This year they aim to raise the standard higher yet with the likes of underground resistance, Mad Mike Banks and Jeff Mills gracing the stage over a total of 18 events between 24th August and 1st of January 2014.
Kicking off with a bang Detroit techno label Blueprint are to host a 12 hour long party in Brixton’s famous Electric venue on the 24th August. Expect heavy, bass loaded Motor City techno from the likes of James Ruskin, Regis and Robert Hood as well as the aforementioned Detroit legend Jeff Mills.
Following on from this are a series of un-missable gigs with electronic vets such as Theo Parish putting their stamp on the night as well as Move D, Derrick May, Trevino, Blond Ish, Deep Space, Midland and Deadbeat to name a very small few.
The Hydra is yet to announce two more dates set for December so keep your eyes open, but it has been confirmed that New Years day is set to be massive with electric minds hosting a plethora of talents at ‘Fire’ including Mano Le Tough, Glimpse and Velvit as well as a host of special guests yet to be announced.
2013 will also see The Hydra team up with ‘Supremebeing’ streetwear which will be stocking a selection of exclusive t shirts from Hydra partners such as R&S Records, Nonplus, Border community and Dial Records.
Get involved guys; the next couple of months are going to be big.
