KR/LF gets spacey in latest album

House | Thursday 5th April 2018 | Arren

Kill Ref Low Frequencies, or KR/LF for short, has sorted a weighty 24 tracked techno beast. Saturn Phases may only be the fourth release from the Italian label but that hasn’t stopped them from going in big.

Split across three parts, the album breaks into new ground and hosts a range of sounds and styles from serious fist-clenching techno slammers to punchy electro from top producers including Oliver Deutschmann, Housemeister & Patrik Skoog. This is a quality selection of cuts geared for the floors, which is exactly why it's tunes have been picked up by huge DJs including Ben Sims & Marcel Dettmann.

Get head lost in The Noisemaker’s swinging snares and bleeping acid in ‘Smell’ or the punchy kicks and hair raising effects in Dez Williams’ tune ‘Substaining Self’. Or just go straight in with classic 4x4 slammers like Jokasti & Nek’s ‘Sinusoid’, DJ-309’s ‘Defend His Throughts’ and Progression’s ‘Everyone Drops A Clanger’. This package of tunes has all the right ingredients for a proper techno sesh, just brings your own brooze...
