Teenage Pregnancies At All Time Low!

Thursday 23rd March 2017 | Shuaib

Teenage pregnancies dropped by 10% in 2015, but pregnancies for women aged 40 and over has increased by 4%.

This is believed to be caused by young women wanting to pursue their career, and be able to save for the future. So that they are able to support there family with a stable career.

However those between the ages of 25 to 29 still remain the most popular group to get pregnant in the uk. This shows that teenagers and young women are having improved access to sex education and contraceptives.

The office of national statisics stated that  more women are becoming pregnant after the age of 30 becasue of increased desire to focus on career and education, as well as the rising costs of housing and raising children.
