EFG London Jazz Festival has one heck of a line up this year and this Wednesday see Christian Scott take over Scala. The Grammy-nominated American trumpeter, composer and producer, returns to this year’s festival with a performance at Scala on Wednesday 16th November.
One of the contemporary greats of Jazz, Christian Scott brings together instruments and sounds both old and new to create his beautiful, new vision. His set last year was one of the highlights of the festival and this year we’re expecting some magic as he returns with a new band, new music and new sound. Nick Smart will be on the piano, Jordan Smart playing saxophone with Jesse Barrett on the drums.
Support comes from rising tuba star, Theon Cross, with his fusion electro-funk-jazz trio. He'll play alongside Moses Boyd on drums and Nubya Garcia on tenor sax.
This is promising to be something seriously special.
