Dixon All Night Long at OvalSpace
This weekend Dixon will be playing all night long at OvalSpace
It’s no surprise that Dixon was recently crowned Number 1 DJ in the world by RA for the third year running. Dixon is a true superstar of modern dance music, the perfect marriage of prodigious talent, versatility and sheer hard work. One moment playing a festival gig to 10,000 people, the next releasing an underground smash hit through his label Innervisions, Dixon has long mastered every discipline of house and techno music.
Innervisions, the label which Dixon and Âme conceived in 2005, is now the most influential foundry of underground music in modern times. In a genre often defined by functionality, Dixon’s label has won the hearts and minds of its global audience by emphasising melody, musicality and emotion. Since its inception eleven years ago, Innervisions has grown into a close-knit family of likeminded artists, releasing classic EPs from the likes of Osunlade, Henrik Schwarz and Laurent Garnier.
With his revered Lost In A Moment events, Dixon has recently turned promoter, too. Since 2013, Innervisions have held special one-off parties in unusual spaces around the world, including UK's Osea Island, Brazil’s Cais da Imperatrix and Musée de l’Air in Paris. These bespoke soirées are not run for profit, but for a simple reason: love of electronic music, which informs every aspect of Dixon’s vision.
On April 9th, Dixon plays all night long at Oval Space, promising a deep trip through fuzzy rhythms, soft vocals and orchestral melodies.
