Raw, industrial and underground: Dockyard Warehouse Festival 2016

House | Monday 21st December 2015 | Christina

Dockyard Warehouse Festival is back once again in 2016 at a brand new and exciting location in Hembrugterrein, Amsterdam.

Known for its raw underground ideals and brilliantly industrial setting, the festival runs from 11am Saturday 9th April until 5am the following day, and offers the best house and techno DJs and live acts anywhere on the planet.

The new venue boasts four proper, previously abandoned warehouses that are torn between land and water and are now overgrown with greenery. The land has taken back what industry once claimed but this coming April, Dockyard will transform the derelict Hembrugterrein area into a wild festival with world-class DJs.

The first wave of acts to be announced include Toronto’s No 19 Music boss Jonny White aka Art Department and global techno icon Dubfire. The techno keeps on coming with the likes of Paul Ritch, Terminal M boss Monika Kruse, UK legend Surgeon, CLR act Tommy Four Seven and Cocoon’s Johannes Heil. And that's not all - Barac will also play live, as will Egbert, and Luigi Madonna, Luis Flores, Micol Danieli, Romanian minimal man Rhadoo, Sam Paganini, Sonja Moonier, Apollonia, Rebekah, Benny Rodrigues, Valentino Kanzyano, and more.

This is set to be the best Dockyard Festival yet, with the new location recalling the old illegal party scene of the 90s.
