We cannot wait for Awakenings!

House | Wednesday 17th October 2018 | Annalisa

Awakenings, once again, are ready to take hold of Gashouder, Amsterdam for a set of 7 events across 5 days. Gashouder is an experience everyone should get the chance to see. The play of lights and beats in this cavernous open space is a sight to behold and nobody knows how to fill it with music, better than Awakenings.

This year’s ADE line up sees a collection of heavyweights with a dew stand out nights that can most certainly be in amongst the highlights for the festival.

Wednesday kicks off with SHDW & Obscure Shape, two techno titans of big stage playing. These guys know how to rock a big crowd and for that reason, Gashouder, is a perfect setting to see them do their thing.

Day two, sees Thursday night in the safe hands of Drumcode & Adam Beyer. He’s put together a smasher of a line up with Dubfire & Nicole Moudaber playing a joint set and the ever energetic & future of techno, Amelie Lens taking the night through until close.

On Friday, Maceo Plex, brings Mosaic to Gashouder with a line up from start to close of heavyweight artists. Young Marco, is the perfect choice for a midnight set, with his mixing skills and playful energy, he has a serious skill for getting a crowd hyped. Following on from him is the always inventive Floating Points and we can’t wait to hear what blend of house, jazz and techno he brings to the table. Ben UFO, the taste maker & technical genius with a seriously deep record boxx plays before Maceo himself who will no doubt be in complete control of his crowd with his classic style & fist pump amd Helena Hauf closes out the night.

Saturday sees two parties, day and night for a last weekend ADE blow out. Saturday daytime, Joris Voorn & Friends head to the Gashouder with the Dutch house & techno master joined by Boris Brejcha, Sam Paganini and iconic techno duo, Pan-Pot. Saturday night brings Joseph Capriati with his brand of emotive techno brought with impeccable, technical mixing and another electronic legend, Laurent Garnier to the decks. With so much experience between them rounding off Saturday night is guaranteed to be solid hours of perfect music and vibes.

Sunday daytime is one we’re really looking forward to. Peggy Gou plays an early set, perfect for her bouncy, energetic sound and if you haven’t heard her play yet, make sure you get down here, her mixing is second to none. The king of groove, Luciano, touches down later that day and rounding out the day is Ame & Rodhad playing a joint set.

Sunday night is whole different affair with a man who really needs no introduction, Ben Klock closing out 5 days at Awakenings. HIs ability to rock a crowd with big techno beats is really the only way to round off things at Gashouder. The ideal setting for the last beats of the festival.
