South London’s Studio 338 is celebrating a brilliant year of parties, exclusives, rare headliners and wildly colourful outdoor parties with a wonderful winter programme and some seasonal decor updates.
The club, which of course boasts various different rooms and a fully-covered and heated outdoor terrace that rivals any in Europe, will have a giant Christmas tree erected for the festive season. The central DJ booth will be adorned with magical 3D baubles, piles of presents, giant light-up stars and snow machines will add the icing on the Christmas cake.
Events kick off with the highly anticipated return of Elrow with the El Bronx Rowshow on December 12th. Selling out in six days without even announcing a headliner, the last event saw Jackmaster, Eats Everything and Jasper James all take to the decks unannounced, so be sure to expect guests of an identical calibre. On December 18th the Idiot Savant crew take over with a residents and extended family get-together namked Flowerworks Carnival, with B.A.R.E TASTY serving up Afro-Mediterranean goodness.
On Boxing Day, Regression Sessions return with their signature hedonistic ways - expect an exceptional house/techno/DnB soundtrack plus bouncy castles, ball pits and other shenanigans. Abode is one of the most talked about daytime London parties of them all and December 27th rounds out a stellar year for the crew and sees the much-loved underground night spend thousands on special production.
New Year’s Eve sees the welcome return of Viva Warriors. This one is extra-special, as you would expect for such an occasion, and as well as tech house king and label boss Steve Lawler, many stars join the fun - the now solo project that is Art Department aka Jonny White, notorious party boy Skream, Hot Creations co-founder Lee Foss, Viva regulars Detlef and Anek, and rising star Patrick Topping. New Year’s Day starts off 2016 with a real touch of class, as Art of Dark continue to champion the coolest minimal techno cats from across the board. The line-up (featuring extended sets in true Art of Dark style) includes Zip, Onur Özer b2b Binh (under their Treatment guise), Francesco del Garda and resident Colin Chiddle.
