London Collections: Men

London Collections men, the male biannual equivalent of London Fashion Week, which commenced on Sunday, has united some of the most stylish men battling it out on catwalk-sides. The showcase emphasizes the creative and commercial importance of Britain’s brands, and welcomes new talent to represent the global success of mens fashion inspired by our rich heritage. The three-day showcase premiered with Dolce & Gabbana’s private show, though unfortunately the fashion house restricted access with the invites only.
The LC:M catwalks were filled with collections from both young upcoming talent to heavyweight British brands such as Burberry, Christopher Kane & Alexander McQueen. Dylan Jones, Editor of GQ Magazine & Chair of the Menswear Commities, argues that “LC: M has already contributed to the changing perception of menswear in this country” and labelled the showcase as being more successful than he had expected. Guests at the event included, of course, the fashionable Tinie Tempah, who attended the Topman show wearing a fine tux teamed with an impeccable pair of patent loafers and his signature geek specs.
