Otone Audio is pushing boundaries in the consumer technology market by revealing how to connect up to three Otone speakers via Bluetooth using standard software built into all Macs.
The hack demonstrates how to pair up to three speakers to a Mac using Bluetooth and then, using built in Mac software, configure the speakers to play music simultaneously, or define a three channel output; left, centre and right which Otone is calling, 3D+ mode.
In 3D+ mode, users can experience three channel surround sound which boosts movie and gaming experience. 3D+ is configured by defining the three channel output from left to centre, to right and vice versa. The speakers can also be used in a party mode, which will play music simultaneously on each of the speakers to create an enhanced, intense audio experience – great for streaming through Spotify and Apple Music.
The multi-pairing hack can be optimised using three Bluetooth speakers from the Otone Blu series. The range includes Blufiniti, BluWall and BluWall+ - portable Bluetooth speakers available in six colour options. This hack works with any of Otone’s Bluetooth speakers so users could even use it to add more depth to the SoundBase product, by pairing it with two satellite speakers, giving a great surround sound!
