Banksy has unveiled his latest creation, Dismaland.
"I loved the Tropicana as a kid, so getting to throw these doors open again is a real honour," Banksy said. “I hope everyone from Weston will take the opportunity to once more stand in a puddle of murky water eating cold chips to the sound of crying children.”
Dismaland, the 'family theme park unsuitable for small children', features works by 58 handpicked artists including Damien Hirst and it is beautiful, disturbing and fun all at the same time.
The famous police bus stop adverts get another make over in this exhibiton which gathered a much wider audience when people started replacing the originals with comments on the instituitional racism of the police. Here, you can also find out how to unlock the posters and for a fiver you can buy the tools to break into them.
Banksy has a special way of being able to take contemporary cultural icons, add sarcasm and come out with a message that makes us question society and it's brilliant. We've included some images from the project below.
