Colors Present The Redlight, Thursdays at Sankeys Ibiza

Sankeys are reviving another one of the many legendary nights that has been associated with the club over the years. Originally Thursdays were going to be called “Colors” (David Vincent’s first ever party at the Hacienda which was based on a US house and UK garage sound), but as there is already another night called “Colors” in San Antonio, Sankeys are presenting the new night under the banner "The Redlight". You can expect an epic selection of house and garage superstars from across the ages.
The Redlight, a legendary night at Sankeys Soap in Manchester, was born out of Tribal Sessions in the 2000s after a hazy visit to the red light district of Amsterdam by some of the Sankeys promoters. With its garage and sexy house vibes, it’s a perfect fit for the intimate and personal Basement & LAB experience at Sankeys Ibiza.
As David Vincent says, “I am so excited that I have the chance to present another one of our legendary Sankeys Soap parties to the island of Ibiza. If Tribal Sessions is my heart, then The Redlight is my soul…This music programme that the Colors crew (including Avi Kogan) have designed will amalgamate sounds past, present and future in the US House and UK Garage sound, which will be in vogue on the white island this summer at Sankeys Ibiza”.
The line-up for The Redlight is packed full of legends – New York house figurehead Roger Sanchez, house pioneer Todd Terry, the chart-topping Tough Love and underground star Low Steppa will all be gracing the decks. Original residents Matt Jam Lamont and Sam Holt also step up, and the Mental Genius crew will host the Spektrum room each week. From the opening party on 11th June through to closing on 24th September, you’ll also be able to catch the likes of Noir, Tube & Berger, 99 Souls, DJ EZ, Chris Lorenzo, Just Blaze, MJ Cole, Preditah, Wookie and more.
Clearly The Redlight Thursday night parties at Sankeys Ibiza are not to be missed. As Kerri Chandler once said, “All you need is a basement, a red light and a feeling...” exactly what The Redlight is all about.
