Seth Troxler is dropping acid
House | Wednesday 15th April 2015 | Arren
Seth Troxler is to turn East London’s Tobacco Docks into an acid house warehouse party on August 8th! He’ll be bringing with him talent from across the world who he believes embody the spirit of acid house.
The party presents an anti-EDM ideology and will pay tribute to the UK club culture’s history with the wonky genre. According to Seth, acid house is the reason why the EDM machine hasn’t really kicked off here in the UK, as he said recently, "I’ve been quite outspoken about my misgivings on the rise of EDM and the culture that surrounds it, but I’ve also noticed that the UK, and specifically London, possibly my favourite city in the world, doesn’t have much of an EDM scene at all...This got me thinking as to why this might be and the simple answer is… acid house.”
With Acid Future, Troxler invites you “to enter into a bye-gone era. A place where dance music was fresh and new. Where late nights turned into bright new days of inspiration and opportunity.”
Are you ready for Acid Future?
No one has been announced just yet, but we’re pretty sure that it will be a party to remember! You can sign up for pre-sale tickets for the event on April 27th here, and general sale will be available three days later.
