DnB BNO July! A Bunch Of Cuts @ Fire

Tuesday 11th June 2013 | Alex

If it made sense to love DnB and loathe hyperactive music then I would. I don’t know why we relished that descent from pulse to agitated arm-pumping and now it’s so muscly it’s just an endurance competition. Visit Fire, SW8 1RT if you’re thinking the same thing.

That’s because it might not be feverish and it might be mysterious and absorptive. Calibre’s there, the Irish liquid funk guy that owns Signature Records and tried a down-tempo album a while back. So’s Bad Company’s dBridge, he’s been around as long as DnB has, and London’s Klute will be doing his vocal techno/break/dub thing.

You might not know SpectraSoul and Amit, but they’re there too, alongside Doc Scott and Marcus Intalex. Basslaced are organising it all and that’s good – they’re no fuss and up-to-date. Head to Fire July 19 for dancefloor with a little more.

10:00 pm – 5:00 am.

Tickets: £8 earlybird, £12 advance, £15 last remaining. Buy HERE.

Watch Basslaced’s launch, and have a listen to ‘Start Again’ from Calibre’s latest LP ‘Spill’.
