GESAFFELSTEIN @XOYO

A pretty face with mysterious brown eyes, that would not have disowned Dave Gahan at the beginning...a very simple class worked...a name brand spirits.... Tumbled end of 2010 in the columns of magazines and specialized blogs, Gesaffelstein is back in the capital for a special show! Yeah you can expect an array of fist-pumping dirty electro and energetic Shoreditch revellers whooping on a sweaty dancefloor!
If you’re a frequent visitor of XOYO, then you know Gesaffelstein is one of my favorite rising talents. The Lyon native — whose real name is Mike Levy — has been creating quite the buzz on the dance music scene this year. Taken under the wing of Brodinski and his newly founded Bromance label, Gesaffelstein has been busy pumping out inventive remixes and unique original productions.
This guy has an unmistakable sound.His cold and raw techno remind American pioneers of the genre, but also the cold-wave, electro clash of his mentor The Hacker. His music "Depravity" was released on the famous Bromance Records founded by Brodinski and Manu Barron (Savoir faire, Social club ...). He has emerged as one of the key DJs of 2013.
Protected from The Hacker with whom he founded the label "Zone", Gesaffelstein began to thrill the backbone of owls in 2008. That year, he released three EP's. Gesaffelstein prefer to look in the mirror and say his admiration for the 80's, rather than falling in awe last fidget remix that excite his generation. His mentors are DJ Hell, Giorgio Moroder or some thugs in Detroit. We are not there to laugh with a mojito in hand and eye neon sun. It was not until 2010 that his EP "Variations" reaches a certain notoriety.
Post-modern dandy, Gesaffelstein? The French DJ like to wear leather gloves on press photos, dare remix Gainsbourg or declares his love for Kraftwerk: "The sounds of the machines at the time was much better today, that's all ... The Kraftwerk's first in 70 years for me are still works of avant-garde major. Who now comes to something as modern thing? " And if there's successor held Danton Eeprom?
