As summer (if grey skies and drizzle count) descends upon us, it’s time for a dose of sunshine courtesy of the latest compilation from Hospital Records.
Released on 3rd June and packed full of anthemic festival sounds; the 29 tracks include a number of previously unreleased exclusives and are mixed by Tomahawk. The official Hospitality summer season all starts on the 24th May with Hospitality Brixton and is followed up by a stream of appearances at UK festivals including Global Gathering, Lovebox, Parklife and Bestival to name a few.
Danny Byrd has two new tracks – ‘Bad Boy’ (Back Again) and ‘4th Dimension’ (303 Remix) ahead of his ‘Golden Ticket’ album launch, whilst both Fred V & Grafix and Metrik have work included from their recent EPs – the latter’s ‘Distant Shores’ is a stunning opener. Beady eyed fans will notice contributions from recent Hospital podcasts – ‘Back to Basics’ by John Rolodex, two Rawtekk tracks (a new Med School recruit) and S.P.Y’s beautiful forthcoming ‘One Last Quest’. Making up the rest of the rest of the Hospital family additions are Nu:Logic, High Contrast and a Camo & Krooked remix of Netsky’s ‘We Can Only Live Today’, alongside a varied sample of work from the likes of Technimatic, Phace & Mistanthrop, The Upbeats and Wilkinson.
Another brilliantly constructed assortment of work from the label, and definitely one to mark another shimmering summer of quality drum and bass. Pre order yourself a copy HERE.
