Guestlist Recommends: The Specials

Coventry is not typically known for producing two toned ska revival bands. Well, maybe just one. The Specials have a sound that only the word ‘unique’ can come close to explaining.
With a line-up of up to ten members, The Specials make an outstanding fusion of rocksteady, ska and punk. There’s piano, percussion, bass, guitars and brass sounds from trumpets, trombones and saxophone. Songs are upbeat, funky and completely danceable. This is truly a sound like no other.
Be sure to get your tickets for their special live gigs on 28th and 29th May at O2 Academy Brixton.
