Muse's ‘Panic Station’ video causes stir

Tuesday 23rd April 2013 | Varala

From their latest album The 2nd Law, Muse releases yet another smashing single, ‘Panic Station’. After performing the song during their Saturday Night Live set last autumn, fans have been hooked on the upbeat tune and hungry for a video.

Now the wait is over and the English rock band has gone all out for ‘Panic Station’’s video. The trio from Devon are seen strutting their stuff through the streets of Tokyo, looking like Avant-garde rockstars. Think feathers, red fur, sunglasses and studs- lots of studs.

But the boys’ fancy dress was not the only thing causing a stir. Quite a number of YouTube viewers have been outraged to see the Rising Sun Flag featured in the music video. Originally used by the Imperial Japanese Army as their war flag until World War ll, the flag offended so many people that the band have since apologised for their mistake and removed the flag from the video.
