Album of the Month - Moda Black Vol 2

House | Tuesday 16th April 2013 |

Jaymo and Andy George's label's album is full of future classics

It’s been a busy month for Jaymo and Andy George’s label Moda Black. With some of the biggest names in house under their wing, Vol 2 was always going to be a big release. The first track, Pale Ale, from Ben Pearce of “What I Might Do” fame, is a stunning opening tune to set the tone for the album. Bristol legend Eats Everything’s new tune Jazz Hands also features, along with new material from Hot Since 82, Shadow Child and Huxley. There is also high quality house from currently less well known artists, such as Hausewerks, Celcius, and Pedestrian to name but a few. However, the standout track comes courtesy of Jaymo and Andy George themselves – “Remember” is a gorgeous, escapist track combining soulful narration, flutes and a heavy bassline to create a great summery vibe. This album is just over an hour of pure house bliss – highly recommended.  Available from the 15th April on Beatport.
