""He may be fighting for his place amongst a vast army of acoustic-guitar wielding singer-songwriters; but unbeknownst to the nation, Liam Modlin has a voice that is going to blow all of his competition right out of the water. The second we first heard ‘Poses’ we knew this guy had something special. It’s just effing gorgeous. There’s a quirky imperfection in the delivery of those words that add character and depth, as well as throwing a sh*tload of figurative anti-freeze on even the coldest of hearts. Yeah, we’ve had Ed, Newton and a load of other emotional lads leading the way til now… but we think that there should be more than enough room for a Liam up there too. We’d love to see what other tracks he’s waiting to unleash…" emergingicons.com

is a singer/songwriter residing from Liverpool and now more recently, London. The son of a vicar, Tom grew up numerous cities across the UK as well as Australia. Music had a heavy impact on Tom’s life from an early age. Influenced by legendary guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix and John Frusciante (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), Tom’s main ambition was to become a session guitarist but this was soon to evolve when Tom wrote his first song aged 15, whilst playing in numerous ‘heavy rock’ bands in Harrogate. Tom’s style has been likened to Ben Howard, Mumford & Sons, Ray LaMontagne, The Doves, Coldplay and even Beck. Coldplay showed their support for Tom by posting his song on their website.
