Stealing a phone? You’re doing it wrong.

For anyone who’s planning to steal a high-tech phone nowadays, it might be an idea to check all the applications on it first, because that is definitely something this young thief forgot. Not only is stealing a phone a punishable offence in most countries, so is smoking pot. And this phone thief seamlessly managed to confess to both of these crimes by taking one simple picture. Now you might be asking how he pulled this off. Well, imagine stealing a phone and then using that phone to take a picture of yourself smoking weed. This might not seem like a too stupid idea at first, but when the phone you stolen is set to post all the pictures you take immediately to the victim’s Facebook, I would say you might have a problem. The guy who robbed the 27 year old woman of her cell phone now has a face and police is sure to track him down soon enough, seeing how he’s still uploading pictures of himself on a frequent basis. So if you’re afraid that your phone might be stolen soon and want to find a new way to protect it, why not try installing the nifty Facebook app that made this happen. It will definitely help to put a face onto all those anonymous thieves going around.
