Artist of the Month: Dirty Dike

Dirty Dike is blowing up in a big way right now. Arguably one of the headlining names in the UK Hip Hop scene at the moment 2013 looks like a busy year for the Cambridge born MC.
If you’re not familiar with the cheeky lyricism of Dike – I’ll fill you in. 2008 saw the release of Bogies and Alcohol, a straight talking yet hilariously on point record released on the hip hop mega label High Focus Records. Since then Dike has churned out some of the biggest bangers in hip hop such as ‘Hi I’m James’ and more recently ‘Plenty More Piss in the Toilet’.
Following Bogies and Alcohol came the accomplished second album Constant Dikestar and more recently the crude yet alarmingly honest Sloshpot EP. In the past few years Dike’s following has sky rocketed and it’s easy to see why; combined with his sharp lyrics, tongue in cheek attitude and a rowdy stage presence the future looks bright for Dikestar.
