Nas and Meek Mill announce Tour Dates
Tuesday 26th February 2013 | Tyrone
After performing three sold out shows in London, multi-platinum recording artist Nas will be back in the UK on Tuesday 19 March 2013 to take over The O2 with support coming in the form of hip-hop’s youngest rising star Meek Mill. This will be the first time both artists have performed at our venue and it's sure to be the hottest ticket in town.
Following the recent release of his top 10 UK album Life Is Good, demand is high for New York rapper Nas. The album marks Nas' sixth #1 album in the U.S and has spawned his current singleCherry Wine featuring Nas' personal friend Amy Winehouse. It was this friendship that led Nas to make the decision to donate £1 from every ticket sold from this concert to the Amy Winehouse Foundation - set up in Amy's memory to support charitable activities in both the UK and abroad.
Mitch Winehouse has said: "Nas has announced that £1 from every ticket sold for his London concert taking place at The O2 on 19th March 2013 will be donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation. Amy and Nas had a special relationship and he will also be at our New York Gala event on 21st March 2013. The donation of £1 per ticket will help us continue our support of disadvantaged young people, and we at the Foundation very much appreciate this magnificent gesture".
